Before you can run your vehicle it must undergo a safety and technical inspection. This is not as daunting as it may sound; the inspector (a fellow SCCA member) will be checking to make sure you have removed any loose objects from the vehicle, this includes but is not limited to: items in the passenger cabin, items under the vehicle, ontop of the vehicle, in the trunk, and under the hood. You will want to remove such objects as floormats, kleenex boxes, loose change, anything clipped to visors, anything suctioned onto windshields, anything in the backseat. You have the option of removing any removable items from the vehicle as well such as spare tires, and jacks if you like, but if they are secured this is not required.
Also check your tire pressures, if you do not have a gauge or a compressor, feel free to ask a fellow member, many will have them available just make sure you return them in good working order and promptly.
Before you go to tech inspection also have your numbers adhered to your vehicle, be it simple paper ones with tape, magnetic, or vinyl letters.
And last but not least, make sure you have a helmet (if you need one there are loaners) and make sure your vehicle is road worthy (most importantly not leaking ANY fluids especially oil based ones).
