Sadly, National SCCA will not sanction actual drift events, so our drift events run under SOLO guidelines. What does this mean to the average driver?

Speeds will remain under 60mph, this is controlled mainly by the course designer by limiting speed with proper course layout
Passengers will NOT be allowed in the vehicles during the drift event.
Currently Drift events will not be scored, or timed in any way. There may be timing gear on site to serve as training for SCCA members attempting to learn the intricicies of our timing system.
Future drift events may be judged and scored, although due to the way drifting is generally judged (line, angle, speed, and show) judging will be difficult. We are working on ideas on how to get an impartial selection of judges.
Car Classifications are non existant, only RWD cars (or AWD with front locks) can compete.
Only cars participating in the drifting will be allowed into the grid area.
