Anyone who wishes to watch can do so from along the road running along Cohen Stadium. -Safety stewards need to get up to date on the Drift rules. -Sanctions need to be submitted to SCCA with Rafael as the event chair. Club Racing Chairman’s Report: -John Basler suffered an engine loss and is questionable for the rest of the season. -There are 4 main participants in the club (Richard, Stan, Jose and John). -Club racing entries at events have declined drastically. -Jose Gerardo may be out for the rest of the year. -RMD has a new track in Colorado. They have offered us the opportunity to purchase their used safety equipments since they are purchasing everything new. Voted no on purchases. -April 18th race at Pikes Peak -April 18th open track day at Arroyo Seco $80 for the entire day and $50 for half a day. -Arizona region approached Richard about joining the Southern Pacific region and dropping the RMD affiliation. Will ask the SCCA if possible and check the website for any updates. No opposition to the change. Rally Report: -“Funkhana” or fun day at Cohen Stadium has been rescheduled for August 9th pending commitment from at least 15 participants. We need to setup some sort of registration for this event to track how many people will be participating. -Lester has sponsored the event with $125.00 or half of the rental at Cohen stadium ($250.00 per day). -Need to setup a survey on the website to see what people want in a rally to encourage more participation (off-road, traps, etc.)
