We are also back on our "Summer Time Schedule" so we are starting one hour earlier than normal. We will be setting up EARLY Sunday, there is an event taking place on saturday at Cohen so we need everyone's assistance to get there early and help set up the track and clear broken beer bottles, etc. Please contact Luis if you are able to help and he can give you more details.
As a reminder, we will again be taking dB readings at the event and at all future events (solo/drift). 100 dB will be the maximum sound limit. Ignorance nor non-compliance of this sound limit rule is will not be tolerated.
The dB readings will be conducted in the method mentioned in the SCCA manual, 50ft from the course and at a point where cars will be at full throttle under load and with the reader perpendicular to the way of travel.
Introducing SCCA Garage Beta
Hello everyone,
As some may have noticed I have released a new feature on the website I am calling 'SCCA Garage'. The purpose of it is to allow greater flexibility in registration while keeping it fairly simple.
I have taken most of the suggestions people have given me and created a system that should allow people with multiple-driver's and multiple vehicles greater flexibility in how they can register online. The SCCA garage allows you to define additional drivers, and additional vehicles which can then be registered via simple drop down menus on the specified event. I am still working on changing multiple-day event registrations so you can specifiy both dates, or one day; but that is still in the works.
There are 5 sections to the garage:
My Status - this will give you an overview of your drivers and their info, your vehicles and their info, and upcoming events you are registered for.
My Drivers - here you will find there are 2 sections. the 1st section is 'your information'. Currently this is being pulled from your original registration information. To change this you will need to go to 'My PanAm SCCA' at the top and edit your profile. Below that you will be able to add any number of additional drivers you will register. This could be anyone, although the purpose is to be able to add your spouse/children that are going to attend.
My Vehicles - This is where you add all your vehicles to the garage. Currently this does NOT grab the vehicle in your profile. I am working on updating this and it should be corrected soon. Only vehicles listed in here will be accessible when registering for an event in the garage
Event Registration - This should look quite similar to what I had previously created to show currently registered people. The difference is once you are logged in you will see 2 drop downs at the top and a submit button on current or future events. Select a driver and vehicle and click submit and you will register that combination for the event. Currently each driver can only be registered once for an event, so if you need to change vehicles find the entry and click the unregister button around it, then re-register. Unregistering is also as easy as scrolling to where your entry is, and clicking the unregister link above or below the entry.
Event Results - Not much has changed here, the only real change is that now the seaons are split and put into an accordon style menu. There will be some updates here in the future so stay tuned.
If you have any issues with any part of the garage, please contact duncan dot deltoro at gmail dot com and I will assit you. Keep in mind this is still in testing so it may have some bugs and produce errors. If it does produce an error please try to get a screenshot and send it to the above email along with what you were doing when it happened.
I hope you enjoy the new features, please let me know if you have any further suggestions.

Car Mod Class and Car Classification Apps
I have added 2 new applications to the website, both are accessible under the 'New to Pan Am SCCA?' menu on the left.
Car Modification Class Guide
This is a web application that will give some guidance as to what class a car is eligible for based on modifications you have done to it. The back end of it is very much based on the data published in a pdf file on AZ Solo.
Now, this is intended to GUIDE people as to what classes they should be able to compete in. However, this is not an exhaustive list of possible modifications you can do to a vehicle, nor does it cover all classes. It does not, for instance, cover the Prepared classes at all.
Car Model Class Guide
This is a web app that will give some guidance as to what classes a particular vehicle can fall into based on its year, make, model and trim levels. This is basically a database driven version of what is in the Solo Handbook for the stock classes, along with some of the probable other classes the car can fall into.
Now, this is intended to GUIDE people as to what class the car is in. However, it can have errors and it is not an exhaustive list of all possible vehicles. The published Solo handbook overrules anything here.
I hope you enjoy the applications, if you have any questions, comments, or corrections please contact me at duncan [dot] deltoro [at] gmail [dot] com.
