Meeting Minutes of March 5, 2007

The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. on Monday , March 5, 2007

In attendance:Don Loomis, Luis Moreno, John Basler, Phil Becker, Karl Busch,  Dave Lehrschall, W. O. Green, Mike Downey, Frank Schuster, Lee Townsend, Lester Townsend, Richard Dziak, Jose Gerardo.

 

Secretary’s Report

February 2007 minutes were distributed.  It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes and the group approved the minutes.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

Don Loomis reported that we had a balance of $4210.57 as of February 28, 2007  

 

Membership Chairman’s Report:

Karl Busch reported 102 official members.

 

Timing and Scoring

Dave Lehrshall reported the biggest issue was getting the numbers correct for the cars in the computer, otherwise all went well.  John is fixing the registration site so that people can actually register with the form without having to email Dave independently of the form. 

 

Solo Chairman’s Report:

Luis reported that we have a shortage of Safety Stewards and that we need to get some people trained by a certified trainer.  Mike volunteered to see if Johnathon Porter could do the training.  The fire extinguishers need to be inspected after the next event.  The bad radios will be discarded and Don will acquire replacements as needed.  Radio protocol guidelines were discussed.  The 2007 PAR Rules and Regulations as well as the revised schedule is posted for all to read on the Web page.

 

Club Racing Chairman’s Report:

Jose reported that there are no scheduled races this year and that track facilities are getting scarce.

 

Rally Report:

Clovis needs signature authority for sanctioned events.  We voted to keep all events on paved roads or risk losing even more participation.  It was voted to hold an annual regional rally – possible dates 3/25, 4/18, 7/8, 7/22, 9/16, or 11/11.  Rally Rule Books will be ordered (5).  We now have 7 people with National Championship Points.  Clovis has a Safety Steward Instructors License for Road Rally.  The board approved Clovis writing a National Road Rally course for 2008.  Will probably be a 175 mi. trap rally with 12 controls.

Events Chair Report

New Business:

 

1)   Private Tire Test on Sat March 10.

2)   Champion Awards will revise and update last years medallions to reflect the current sponsorship.

3)   The medallions are to be picked up on March 8th – handed out on the        11th.

4)   An additional 100 medallions are on order for the rest of the season.

5)   Order 50 Fast – Five “T” shirts and awards will be placed shortly.

6    Start the advance registration for the next event - John

7)   PAR Solo calendar to reflect the May 6 event in lieu of the cancelled           April   15 event.

8)   Regional Charter to be filed by Luis

9)   File sanctions for 2007 events - Luis

10) File sanctions for Rally  -  Clovis next month

11) Annual Fire Extinguishers service – Karl
