Minutes of the June 4, 2007 Meeting

The meeting began at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2007

In attendance: Gary Meyers, Don Loomis, Luis Moreno, John Basler, Phil Becker, Karl Busch, Dave Lehrschall, Mike Downey, Frank Schuster, Clovis Green, Fred Hernandez.

Secretary’s Report

May 2007 minutes were distributed. It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes.

Treasurer’s Report:

Don Loomis reported that we had a balance of $2,967.05 as of May 31, 2007.

Membership Chairman’s Report:

Karl Busch reported no changes.

Timing and Scoring

Dave Lehrshall reported the problems we had are most likely the Axrats box. Dave will not be here the next weekend, so John will handle registration.

Solo Chairman’s Report:

1. Volunteers needed for cleanup next Saturday.

2. We will use PAR Solo 2006 rules this year because we failed to get the 2007 rules out timely.

3. We will do 6 runs this weekend but only the first four will count.

4. Karl purchased a commercial blower and accessories for course clean up.

5. Jesse will have the Foglamp ready this weekend.

6. We have failed to give out awards to date but will catch up next weekend and Luis will resume announcer duties. He would like as much information as possible about the drivers and cars prior to the event as well as the PAX and CLASS results at the end to give out the awards.

7. We need to be well stocked on flour and water and ice for each event.

Club Racing Chairman’s Report:

Stan reported that a Sandia event is coming in July.

Rally Report:

1. Clovis asked what is the media commitment to date for the charity rally – answer “0”.

2. We decided to move the event to October and run the July 8^th event as a practice which also gives us more time to pick a charity.

3. John will write up a handout for the Jul 8^th rally to hand out at the next solo.

4. We have enough clocks.

Old Business

Pay the $500 to Richard for the PAR clubs Racer’s Endowment.

New Business

1. We need to update our PAR Highlighted Members sections

2. Update photos on the website regularly

3. Start a PAR Racing Memories section - forward materials to Luis.
