Results and scores from the 3rd championship event are posted.  Frank Schuster has changed to the FP class and his previous 2 events have been updated to reflect the changes.

 Solo Chairman’s Report:

-We had 26 competitors for the third championship event.

-The earmuffs used for the blower have been lost and a new pair will need to be purchased for the safety of the operator.

-2 fire extinguishers need to be recharged as they were accidentally discharged while in the trailer.

-An incident report will be filed on the accident that John Briggs had in his vehicle during the 3rd championship event.

-We need to find a solo chair for the May 4th event since Luis will be out of town.  This person will also be responsible for setting up the course for the event.  Date is still uncertain.

-Fast 5 awards have been ordered. Medallions will be awarded for class winners and trophies for the top 5.

-Starting on the May 4th event, entry fees will now be $25 for members and $40 for non members.

Club Racing Chairman’s Report:

-Congratulations go to Richard Dziak who won the regional championship and is only one of 4 members to accomplish this feat.  He will also be racing in Colorado trying to get 2 championship regional events in one year.  Good luck to him.

-Congratulations to Jose Gerardo for getting the first track record at Firebird Raceway.

-Stan Czacki and Jose Gerardo are registered for the Pueblo race this weekend.

-John Basler has passed tech.

-Stan Czacki mentioned that the Petroleum museum in Midland has a vehicle of local importance on display.  It is a worthwhile event for those interested in West Texas racing history.

Rally Report:

-The rally on March 16th was cancelled due to lack of participants.  The next event will be on May 11th.  It will be held at the same time and location as the March 16th event and will be mildly trapped.

-Clovis has started the paperwork to create a sanctioning body independent of the SCCA.  This has happened due to the current mindset of the SCCA and for the benefit of the local rally.

-Talks are underway with the Porsche Club (PCA) to help setup a rally and in return they can sanction events for us.

-Lester mentioned that the Miata club will have a run in Columbus, NM this weekend.  He has asked that an e-mail be dispatched to the members in case they are interested or know of someone who may be.
